BIG NEWS!!!

SNAP APPLICATION APPROVED!!!

Greetings Trainsong Board members,

Thank you so much for submitting your proposal for the SNAP pilot project. We received four diverse applications with thoughtful, creative ideas for addressing neighborhood needs.  The review committee deliberated over the merits of each application, and unanimously selected ….. Trainsong Neighborhood as the SNAP pilot project!

We’re very excited to begin our work with you. The review committee felt that your consideration of neighborhood needs, coupled with a recognition of the different approaches to reach your neighborhood, and your obvious care and enthusiasm for your neighborhood  were clear strengths of your application.

We’d like to set up a meeting with your SNAP Leadership Team and City staff as soon as possible so we can get started on our work.

We’ll need about three hours to cover the important introductory pieces. I realize that’s quite a bit of time on a weeknight, so we’ll bring some snacks and plan to move around so we’re not sitting the whole time.

The following dates work for a first meeting;  time would be 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.:

Thursday,  March 25th

Tuesday, March 30th

Thursday, April 1st

Please forward this email to anyone on your SNAP team that I’ve missed and let us know which date works best for your team. If you can also arrange a location (Brad, is Bethel Community Church available?) that would be great. I’ll send an agenda and other information early next week.

We’re looking forward to working with you!

Rene
